Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is most useful when a person wants to tackle a problem that is separate from their relationship patterns. For example, mental health issues like anxiety or depression can be longstanding challenges that reach into all of their relationships. Even if the individual’s problem has an impact on their relationships, when the problem isn’t rooted in the relationship itself, individual therapy is usually best.
That said, individual therapy can help with most mood and relationship problems. It gives you the freedom to express your feelings and think about your life without worrying about being judged or disappointing someone. A therapist can support you while you make changes in the way you deal with other people in your life or how you react to situations.
